0-2 years of academic advisory experience, often entry-level.
Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and software applications.
Proficiency in troubleshooting common IT issues such as network connectivity, software installations, and basic printer or hardware malfunctions.
Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, Jira) to log, track, and resolve incidents.
Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and ability to configure routers, switches, and basic network troubleshooting.
Strong communication skills to assist users via phone, email, or in-person with technical support issues.

Intermediate

2-5 years of academic advisory experience.
Strong proficiency in diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and networking issues in a Windows, macOS, and Linux environment.
Ability to manage Active Directory (user accounts, groups, permissions) and troubleshoot enterprise-level software issues.
Experience with network administration, including VLANs, VPNs, firewall configurations, and managing switches and routers.
Knowledge of remote desktop tools, virtual machine management, and cloud-based systems (Office 365, Google Workspace).
Proficient in using and managing ticketing systems, with an emphasis on reducing issue resolution time and maintaining service level agreements (SLAs).
Experience in managing IT inventory, handling hardware replacements, and supporting end-user device rollouts.
Ability to document solutions and create knowledge base articles, as well as provide mentorship to junior team members.

SENIOR

5 + Years Exp.

5+ years of academic advisory experience, including leadership roles.
Expertise in managing complex IT infrastructures, including system upgrades, patch management, and ensuring the availability and security of systems.
Advanced troubleshooting and resolution of hardware, software, and networking issues, including deep experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and VPN management.
Proven ability to design and implement IT policies and procedures, disaster recovery plans, and business continuity strategies.
Experience with IT project management, leading hardware and software deployments, and managing cross-functional IT teams.
Proficiency in cloud services administration (AWS, Azure, Office 365) and cybersecurity measures (firewalls, intrusion detection, and endpoint security).
