  • Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, Jira) to log, track, and resolve incidents.

  • 2-5 years of academic advisory experience.
  • Strong proficiency in diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and networking issues in a Windows, macOS, and Linux environment.
  • Ability to manage Active Directory (user accounts, groups, permissions) and troubleshoot enterprise-level software issues.
  • Experience with network administration, including VLANs, VPNs, firewall configurations, and managing switches and routers.
  • Knowledge of remote desktop tools, virtual machine management, and cloud-based systems (Office 365, Google Workspace).
  • Proficient in using and managing ticketing systems, with an emphasis on reducing issue resolution time and maintaining service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Experience in managing IT inventory, handling hardware replacements, and supporting end-user device rollouts.
  • Ability to document solutions and create knowledge base articles, as well as provide mentorship to junior team members.

SENIOR

5 + Years Exp.
  • 5+ years of academic advisory experience, including leadership roles.
  • Expertise in managing complex IT infrastructures, including system upgrades, patch management, and ensuring the availability and security of systems.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and resolution of hardware, software, and networking issues, including deep experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and VPN management.
  • Proven ability to design and implement IT policies and procedures, disaster recovery plans, and business continuity strategies.
  • Experience with IT project management, leading hardware and software deployments, and managing cross-functional IT teams.
  • Proficiency in cloud services administration (AWS, Azure, Office 365) and cybersecurity measures (firewalls, intrusion detection, and endpoint security).
  • Strong leadership in mentoring intermediate and junior specialists, conducting training, and providing strategic input on IT systems and infrastructure improvements.
